Joan Dare brings some trendy pre-lit birch trees to decorate for the holidays and Wendy Well finds them. With the assistance of her ghostly-elf-assistant (Kate), the two ladies decorate the branches with Wendy's "flower power tower's" while viewers see both rosy cheeked and dumbfounded meteorologists. A NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association) robotic transistor weather radio Christmas carol swoons the room as the footage transitions to the current floods happening in California (January 2023). The tone shifts to sweetness when just as Doris Day starts singing "Be a Child at Christmas Time", a young child enters the scene (Jenna North's son). He engages in imaginative construction work play while the viewer sees imagery of various construction projects, including offshore drilling rigs.
When Artist Jenna North was offered a solo show at Hillyer Gallery in Washington D.C., she entitled it "The Joan Dare Gallery" and showed multiple monitors of her alter ego Joan Dare out and about in D.C. doing cultural activities and meeting with local artists. She also created a large-scale video projection installation in a room with cushions and flowers, candles and bells as a interactive fertility meditation. Hillyer put a out a call to artists to participate in a portfolio reviews with Joan Dare who is organizing a show about "what demarcates Washington D.C. Artists". This is the video of her reviewing artists in one of the galleries.
